A training session on Arbitration and Dispute Settlement: Contract Administration, Management and Drafting was held at Union House, Anamnagar, Kathmandu on 6 October 2023, organised by the Patan High Court Bar Association.

Adv. Prakrit Shrestha, together with his team from RCA, delivered the session to an audience of prominent lawyers and legal practitioners. The aim was to strengthen practitioners’ knowledge and skills in contract administration, management and drafting, and to connect those disciplines to dispute settlement and arbitration.

What the Session Covered

The training was structured around five topics:

  • Drafting contracts for dispute resolution.
  • Navigating dispute settlement and arbitration.
  • Case studies and interactive discussions.

Purpose of the Session

The session was designed to do more than expand the participants’ knowledge base. It encouraged interactive learning and the sharing of practical experience, and the active participation of practitioners drawn from a range of law firms added depth and quality to the discussions.

The expectation is that the knowledge and insights shared will have a positive effect on how the legal community in Nepal approaches contract administration and dispute resolution.
